 IN MEMORY OF

Lance Burke

May 15, 1957 - June 7, 2008

Broker Associate, son, brother, friend...

Prior to joining Wolfeboro Bay Real Estate in 2002, Lance was the owner/operator of The Professional Chef.  Founded in 1985, the company operated two up scale catering facilities that serviced private and corporate aircraft at Hanscom Field in Bedford Massachusetts and a second facility at Palm Beach International Airport in West Palm Beach Florida.  Lance’s love of food came when he started his first job working summers at the Woodshed Restaurant at the age of 15.  After graduating from The Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park New York, Lance traveled extensively rounding out his career in the food industry.

An avid sailor, Lance was offered the opportunity to sail across the Atlantic in 1984 on a 42 foot, French built sailboat.  Leaving the Canary Islands off the north coast of Africa the day before Thanksgiving, the trip took 22 days and 4 hours to reach Guadalupe.  An experience that remained one of Lance’s favorite adventures that he spoke of often

Lance had been involved in real estate investment here in the lakes region for more than 26 years and brought  that experience to his work at Wolfeboro Bay Real Estate.  He was one the most dedicated real estate agents we ever have known.  Aside from being a really nice person, we all enjoyed his daily presence here because he was so helpful, knowledgeable, and most of all, he was a great team player.  Lance helped Wolfeboro Bay Real Estate to grow and prosper into a respectable Lakes Region firm and we are honored to have known him.

He will be missed ...
